Welcome to Nexus Facilities Management Company

Nexus Facilities Management Company SA (Pvt) Ltd was established through a shareholders’ agreement to establish a Facilities Management company. Nexus Facilities Management was thus operational in July 2009 with Neotel as the first client.

The main objective of Nexus FM is to build a leading Facilities Management business in South Africa and beyond. At Nexus Facilities Management we believe that any futuristic businesses will always address the workplace challenges and opportunities. The workplace, if well designed and maintained, will always gain real business advantage and thus improve shareholder value, this is where we come in.

Background and context

• Nexus to take on Neotel facilities management as part of the Neotel shareholders agreement
• Nexus Connexion, Neotel Shareholder formed Nexus FM to house its facilities management company
• Objective is to build a leading FM business in South Africa with Neotel as the anchor contract
• Established 1 July 2009 with operational staff on the ground
• Currently growing an experienced team of FM professionals

Nexus Connexion – Holding Company

• Nexus Connexion (“Nexus”) was formed in April 2002 for the specific purpose of being the BEE partner for the SNO. Nexus shareholders all have a specific common interest, participation in the SNO.
• Nexus shareholding has been structured to ensure that it is as broad-based as possible. It has a constituency base that includes women’s groups, youth groups, other developmental NGOs, labour union business arms, and businesses represented by individuals and corporates. These groups are spread across all 8 provinces with the exception of Gauteng.

  

  The reason for the exclusion of Gauteng is that it is catered for by the various national groups based there, for instance Nozala.
• All parties hold a meaningful portion of the equity stake, and all have been carefully selected and aggressively screened based on experience, successful track records, and their ability to add value to the SNO.
